Today's reading

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

Rest is not what you get once the work is finished. It is offered to you as you are — carrying it, mid-sentence, tired.

Most days do not end cleanly. Something stays unresolved, some task rolls into tomorrow. The invitation here is not to finish first and then rest; it is to bring the unfinished thing itself, still open, and set it down for a moment in front of someone who already knows its weight.
