Be still, and know that I am God.

Psalm 46:10

Stillness is not the absence of a day — it is a decision made inside it, usually for less than a minute, usually while the day keeps moving anyway.

The verse does not ask for silence for its own sake. It asks for one sentence of trust, held long enough to be felt: that whatever is happening is not, in the end, unwatched.

Where in today could you spend thirty seconds being still on purpose?
