Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7

"Cast" is a stronger word than "mention." It suggests something thrown, deliberately, off of your own hands and onto someone else's — not simply named out loud and then picked back up a minute later.

The reason given is not that the anxiety is unreasonable. It is that you are cared for regardless of whether it is. That is a different kind of comfort than being told not to worry.
